#10 SOUP
BO DEREK IN THE BROTH
Most of the women in the Dodge postcards were unknowns
who in cases like the above found a measure of celebrity because the photographer
recorded their names and the company chose to print the name. The
'#10 Soup' reference is obscure, possibly another reference to the year
1910, but the name, Bo Derek, lives on because a century ago the lass was
fortunate enough to be photographed in all of her splendid nakedness as
she was being reduced to kettle of soup for a tribe of hungry savages.
