The author and his party are greeted by excited villagers whose unmistakable joy is evident in their faces. Before them, seated modestly on a large pile of firewood, is the traditional welcome gift of a "long pig".  In this case, the long pig was an attractive, blonde explorer who unhappily became separated from her traveling companions.  The author and a colleague can be seen in the background conversing with some of their hosts as they prepare the oven to cook the unlucky lady who can now be seen anxiously watching the proceedings as rocks are being heated over a grass-lined pit . When all was ready, stones, long pig, and sweet potato tops went into the pit. In a few hours, the feast was ready.
