A native chieftain stands at the altar with his captured bride. The young woman was the envy of all of the single ladies of the tribe because the chief was widely regarded as quite attractive and a perfect specimen of manhood. Unfortunately, the woman did not share the chief's enthusiasm on the honeymoon, and the marriage was annulled. The chief took another bride the next day, and several people at the wedding were heard to comment that they thought everything had turned out for the best. In their opinion, while the young white woman was clearly not worthy of being one of the chief's wives, she made for a most attractive roast at the wedding banquet.
