A native woman waits at the market with her slave.  When her turn comes, the slave will be suspended between two poles by her wrists and ankles, her arms and legs spread wide, while, before the pitiable woman's own eyes, shoppers mark the pieces they wish to purchase.  When all pieces have been claimed, the slave will be butchered and the pieces distributed to the eager buyers.
